Tyler is proposing to pull the money from other areas in the city budget. Those include not filling vacant city jobs, which he says would save about $5.4 million, removing $500,000 some council members want for establishing an Affordable Housing Trust Fund, pulling $1.25 million from the administration’s plans to prepare an area near North Boulevard for redevelopment and eliminating $2 million in funding to overhaul the Dove Court public housing development and build a school there, among other city initiatives… timesdispatch.com
